Can you get an IV drip at home in Sharjah, Ajman or Ras Al Khaimah?
Short answer
Yes. Home IV drips can be arranged in Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah through partner clinics licensed by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), which regulates healthcare in these five emirates. A clinician reviews your health answers before confirming, and a licensed nurse visits your home, hotel or office and stays with you for the whole drip.
Key points
- MOHAP licenses health facilities and professionals across the five northern emirates.
- After-work slots in Sharjah fill first, since many residents commute to Dubai.
- Traffic on Al Ittihad Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road affects arrival more than distance.
- East coast towns such as Khor Fakkan, Kalba and Fujairah need more notice.
- Families can book together, but every person is screened individually.
Sharjah city and Ajman: dense districts, commuter evenings
Much of Sharjah city is apartment living, in districts such as Al Nahda, Al Taawun, Al Majaz and Al Khan, where parking near older towers can be tight and a building watchman may ask visitors to sign a register. Newer communities like Aljada and Muwaileh have gated entrances and marked visitor bays. Ajman’s Corniche towers and Al Nuaimiya follow a similar pattern, so share the building name, flat number and a location pin.
Because so many people work in Dubai and get home late, evening visits are requested most. Al Ittihad Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road can turn a short distance into a long crawl at peak times, so a flexible arrival window helps everyone. Weekend mornings are usually calmer on these roads.
Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah
Further north, distances grow and the pace slows. In Ras Al Khaimah, visits range from city apartments to resort hotels on Al Marjan Island and villas in Al Hamra Village. On the east coast, the nurse crosses the Hajar Mountains to reach Fujairah city, Khor Fakkan, Kalba or the beach resorts around Al Aqah. Partner coverage here varies by day, so message early and expect a planned slot rather than a quick one.
Checking MOHAP licensing
Ask us which clinic will send the nurse, and ask the nurse to show their professional licence when they arrive. A licence issued in Dubai or Abu Dhabi does not on its own authorise work in the northern emirates, so the clinic and nurse should both be covered by MOHAP for the place you are in. The clinician, never our coordinators, decides whether a drip is suitable.

Questions people ask
Do you cover Ajman and Umm Al Quwain?
Yes, through MOHAP-licensed partner clinics, including areas such as Al Nuaimiya, Al Zorah and Emirates City in Ajman, and the old town and Al Salamah in Umm Al Quwain. How quickly a nurse can come depends on availability that day. Send your location pin and preferred time on WhatsApp.
Can a nurse visit a family home for several people?
Yes. Tell us how many people and whether anyone is under 18, pregnant or managing a long-term condition. Each person answers the health questions separately, and the clinician may advise differently for each. Larger groups may need a second nurse, which affects timing and the quote. Children are treated only after a doctor’s assessment, with a parent present.
How far ahead should I book for the east coast?
There is no fixed rule, but a day’s notice is a sensible starting point for Khor Fakkan, Kalba, Dibba or Fujairah, as the drive through the mountains takes time and fewer partner nurses are based there. Same-day requests are sometimes possible, and we will tell you plainly what is available rather than guess.
