IV drips at home in Fujairah

Yes. IV Drip at Home arranges drips along Fujairah’s east coast: homes and apartments in Fujairah City and Al Faseel, beach resorts at Al Aqah, villas and farms around Dibba Al Fujairah, and mountain towns such as Masafi. You message on WhatsApp, a licensed partner clinic reviews the request, and a nurse licensed by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) comes to you.

Across Fujairah

Fujairah is the only emirate whose coastline lies wholly on the Gulf of Oman, cut off from the rest of the country by the Hajar Mountains. Fujairah City, with its port and Corniche, holds most of the population, while the coast road north passes fishing villages on the way to the resorts at Al Aqah and the town of Dibba Al Fujairah near the Oman border. Inland, Masafi and Al Tawyeen sit among wadis and date farms. The map is intricate: Sharjah’s Khor Fakkan and Kalba are interleaved along the same shore, so naming your town and sharing a pin helps the clinic route the nurse correctly.

Visitors and hotels

The east coast draws divers and snorkellers to Snoopy Island off Al Aqah, families on weekend breaks from Dubai, and hikers heading into the wadis. Resorts concentrate around Al Aqah and Dibba, while hotels on Fujairah’s Corniche serve business travellers connected to the port and shipping trade. Guests often arrive after a long drive through the mountains or a full day in the water. Hotels each set their own rules for visiting clinicians, so tell reception in advance and include your room number when you book.

Heat and seasons

The Gulf of Oman coast is hot and humid in summer, and the mountains behind it hold the heat on windless days. Thunderstorms sometimes build over the Hajar range in the warmer months and can send flash floods down the wadis, which also disrupts travel. Winter is mild and the favourite season for outdoor trips. Fishermen, port staff and farm workers spend long hours in the heat. During Ramadan, appointments are arranged after iftar. Water and rest come first, and the clinician will say when a drip is not needed.

Access and parking

Most nurses reach the east coast from Dubai along the Sheikh Khalifa Highway through the mountains, or via Masafi from the north. There are no toll gates in the emirate. Fujairah City has paid parking along its busier commercial streets, while villa areas and the towns up the coast usually have easy parking. The coastal road slows through each village, and after heavy rain some wadi crossings may close. For farms and homes inland, a location pin is essential. Resorts at Al Aqah have gated entrances where visitors check in.

Licensing in Fujairah

Health facilities and professionals in Fujairah are licensed by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP). The partner clinic arranging your visit holds a MOHAP licence, and the nurse who arrives holds one too. Feel free to ask us which clinic is attending before the day, and ask the nurse to show their licence at the door. Tamam books and coordinates; the clinic and its clinicians make every medical decision, including whether the drip goes ahead at all or whether a doctor should see you first.

Who may give an IV drip in the UAE

In the UAE an IV drip is a medical procedure, not a beauty treatment. It is given by clinicians licensed for it, working under a licensed health facility, after an assessment. Which authority licenses them depends on where the visit happens.

Fujairah: common questions

Can a nurse reach a resort at Al Aqah or Dibba?

Yes, with some notice, as these resorts sit a fair way up the coast from Fujairah City. Tell the resort a licensed nurse is coming, and share your room number with us on WhatsApp. If the resort only allows its own medical provider, we will tell you before arranging anything.

I am driving over from Dubai for the weekend. Can I book in advance?

Yes, and it is the best approach. Send your hotel or villa location, your arrival day and a preferred time, and the partner clinic will plan a slot. Remember that a long drive in the heat is tiring; drink water on the way and rest before the visit, and the nurse will check how you are before starting.

What happens if wadi roads are closed after rain?

Safety comes first. If heavy rain or flooding makes a route unsafe, the partner clinic may move your appointment, and we will let you know on WhatsApp as early as possible. Never try to drive through flowing water. If you need urgent help during a storm, call 999 or 998.

Can someone on a dive trip have a drip afterwards?

Possibly, but tell the clinician about your diving that day, including depths and timings if you know them. Some symptoms after diving need specialist medical care rather than a drip, and the clinician may advise you to see a doctor. Fluids by mouth and rest are often enough after a long day in the water.
