The area

Dibba sits at the very top of the UAE’s east coast, where the Hajar Mountains drop to the sea, and the town is shared three ways. Dibba Al Fujairah, the southern part, belongs to Fujairah. Dibba Al Hisn in the middle belongs to Sharjah, and Dibba Al Baya to the north lies in Oman’s Musandam governorate. On the Fujairah side you find family homes, farms and date palms, a small-town centre and a growing line of beach resorts. Divers and campers come for the bay and nearby Dibba Rock.

Getting to you

Most people reach Dibba via Masafi, crossing the mountains on the Masafi–Dibba road, or along the coast road north from Fujairah City through Al Aqah. From Dubai the drive is often close to two hours, so the nurse’s journey shapes everything. Send a precise map pin and confirm which side of town you are in: Dibba Al Hisn addresses fall under Sharjah, while Dibba Al Baya is in Oman, beyond the Wam border crossing, and we cannot send a nurse there.

Why people here book

Weekend visitors at the beach resorts form one group: people who drove across from Dubai or Abu Dhabi, spent a day diving, kayaking or in the sun, and then ask about rehydration. Families camping on the beach in the cooler months ask too, although a tent is not a suitable place for a drip and the clinician will say so. Local residents in family homes book less often, usually during recovery from an illness, with the clinician checking first.

Timing

Because the journey to Dibba is long, partner clinics generally need notice; a day ahead is realistic, and same-day visits may not be possible. Long weekends and the cooler months from November to April fill the resorts and the Masafi road. Summer brings intense heat and humidity. Mountain roads are best driven in daylight, which can limit late-evening availability.

Who licenses the visit

Dibba Al Fujairah is regulated by MOHAP, as is neighbouring Dibba Al Hisn in Sharjah. Dibba Al Baya is in Oman and outside the UAE system, so we cannot arrange visits there.

Questions from Dibba Al Fujairah

Can a nurse come to Dibba the same day?

Sometimes, but do not count on it. Dibba is far from most clinics, and the partner needs a free nurse plus several hours for the round trip. Message us as early as possible. If timing feels urgent because someone is very unwell, that is a reason to call 998 or go to hospital, not to wait for a drip.

We are staying across the border in Musandam. Can you visit us?

No. Partner clinics are licensed in the UAE, and their nurses cannot practise in Oman. If you are back at an address in Dibba Al Fujairah or elsewhere in the UAE, we can look into a visit there. While in Oman, please use local medical services.

Could the nurse come to our camping spot on the beach?

Usually not. The nurse needs a clean, shaded, stable place for you to sit through the whole session, with a safe way to dispose of clinical waste. A hotel room, villa or rented chalet nearby is more realistic. The clinician can tell you what is acceptable.
