IV drip at home in Al Qusais

Home drips can be arranged throughout Al Qusais, from apartment towers along the Green Line to older villas and company-managed staff housing. Tamam, the operator behind IV Drip at Home, schedules the visit. Whether the drip goes ahead is decided by a clinician at a partner clinic that the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has licensed; its nurse then attends in person.

The area

Al Qusais sits at Dubai’s north-eastern edge, where the city runs straight into Sharjah’s Al Nahda. Its residential sectors mix mid-rise apartment blocks, many popular with families who commute across the border, and pockets of older single-storey villas. Beside the housing, the Al Qusais Industrial Area holds warehouses, workshops, car showrooms and accommodation for the people who work in them. Dubai Airport Free Zone is close by, and Al Mulla Plaza, one of the city’s earlier malls, anchors the western corner.

Getting to you

Apartment towers here typically have a watchman’s desk and one or two lifts; the busier ones keep visitor parking to a handful of bays. Staff accommodation in the industrial area usually has a gatehouse, so the camp or building manager may need to approve a medical visit in advance. Villa sectors have narrow internal streets where kerbside parking is the norm. Al Ittihad Road and Damascus Street carry heavy cross-border traffic, and a short distance on the map can still take a while.

Why people here book

People who work outdoors or in un-air-conditioned warehouses in summer sometimes ask about a drip after a run of exhausting shifts; the clinician screens carefully, because heat illness can need a hospital rather than a nurse at the door. Families in the apartment towers enquire when someone is recovering from a cold and finding it hard to drink. During Ramadan, a few residents ask about rehydration after iftar.

Timing

Weekday mornings and the 5pm to 8pm window are the worst for traffic heading to and from Sharjah, and Al Ittihad Road can grind to a crawl. Midday in summer is when outdoor workers are most at risk; visits for them are often booked after their shift. In Ramadan, the hours after iftar are generally the most practical for anyone fasting.

Who licenses the visit

Even though Sharjah begins just across the street in places, any address inside Al Qusais is in Dubai and is served by clinics licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).

Questions from Al Qusais

I live in staff accommodation in the industrial area. Can a nurse visit me there?

Often yes, if the accommodation allows medical visitors. Check with your camp or building manager first, and share the gate name and your room or block number. A quiet space away from shared sleeping areas is better for the session, and a supervisor’s contact number helps at the gate.

I feel very weak after working outside all day. Should I wait for a drip?

Do not wait if you are confused, vomiting repeatedly, have a very high temperature or have stopped sweating. Those are warning signs of heatstroke: call 998 straight away. For milder tiredness, cool down, drink water with oral rehydration salts and message us so the clinician can decide what fits.

My building is on the Dubai side but my address shows Al Nahda. Which clinic comes?

Share a map pin and we will check which side of the boundary you are on. Dubai addresses are covered by DHA-licensed partner clinics, while Sharjah addresses are handled under the Ministry of Health and Prevention. The booking process is the same either way.
